The measures we have put in place have been taken from Government guidelines. Our system of controls include cleaning hands more thoroughly and more often, good respiratory hygiene by promoting the "catch it, bin it, kill it" approach with the children, enhanced cleaning including disinfecting frequently touched surfaces and toys, wearing appropriate PPE should a suspected case of Covid-19 arise and minimising contact with individuals showing signs of Covid-19 and ensuring they do not attending the setting.

This policy aims to give clear guidance of the financial procedures in place to ensure that All Saints Preschool are able to continue providing high quality, safe and stimulating activities for the children within our care.
Early Years Grant Funding fully covers 15 hours of free entitlement for 3 and 4 year olds. This entitlement may be “split” between settings.
In addition, from September 2013, funded childcare is available for 2 year olds living in economically disadvantaged circumstances, receiving a qualifying benefiit.
Further details can be found at childcare choices.gov.uk or suffolk.gov.uk
We are unable to provide additional hours over the 15 hours early funding provision as we are a pack-a-way setting operating from a community church hall with limited access. We are also closed on Wednesdays due to other hall users operating a Toddler Group at the church.
Any place offered (whether funded or paid for) is done so on the basis that the additional charge levied for snacks/outings will be paid in full. See below for details of these additional charges.
We do not collect registration fees when parents/carers complete an application form.
We request all parents/carers to pay for sessions in advance, irrespective of attendance. However, parents may talk to a member of staff re: a flexible payment scheme if needs arise.
Parents/carers are given a termly invoice for their records. For this purpose terms are considered as: Autumn, Spring and Summer.
In cases of illness, full fees must be paid for the first 4 weeks and thereafter a charge of 50% will be made. It is important to advise the setting in such circumstances of the nature of the illness.
On the failure of a child taking up a place without due notice, this will result in fees being charged for each session booked until notice in writing is received.
We require 4 weeks notice to be given in writing prior to the removal of a child. If such notice is not given, a charge will be made in lieu.
Any child not attending the setting without explanation for longer than two weeks may lose their place.
Any additional sessions which become available can be booked for and paid for at the time of booking.
We provide entitlement on the following basis:-
Monday 9.15am – 11.45am & 12.30pm – 3pm
Tuesday 9.15am – 11.45am & 12.30pm – 3pm
Thursday 9.15am – 11.45am & 12.30pm – 3pm
A lunch club operates on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between the morning and afternoon sessions. This provision may be included in the grant funding provision to fully access the 15 hours.
An early drop off facility can be offered. Please discuss specific needs with a member of staff. Again, this provision may be included in the grant funding provision.
Early drop off/lunch clubs must be booked in advance to ensure the correct staffing ratios.
However, after the full entitlement hours have been accessed, charges as detailed will apply:-
Session fees - £11.00 for 3/4 year olds | £12.50 for 2 year olds
Lunch club fees - £3.30 (3/4 year olds) | £3.75 2 year olds
Every child under the age of five is entitled to a free 189ml serving of milk whilst in attendance at any Ofsted registered day care provider. However, in addition, we provide a variety of snacks mid-morning and afternoon as we feel this promotes good choices in healthy eating, provides a time to sit and chat about the food we eat and the impact it has on our health and provides opportunity to taste foods from around the world (often linking into topics such as Chinese New Year, Handa’s Surprise, Thanksgiving, Pancake Day etc).
All childcare providers are now authorized to levy an additional charge as a contribution to our daily snacks served in the morning and afternoon sessions. These additional charges are currently £20 per term if accessing 3 or more sessions per week/£10 per term when accessing 2 sessions/£5 when accessing 1 session. These will be invoiced with fees due/notice of funded hours provided for the term.
Collection of Fees
Fees must be paid before or at the time of provision. An invoice is provided to inform parents/carers of their liability at the beginning of each term.
All debts will be recorded and non-payment will be followed up by issuing reminders on the following basis: -
1st reminder – Verbal request - to bring this to the attention of the parent/carer
2nd reminder – Text message/e-mail home requeting debt to be paid by a specific date/re-payment schedule offered.
3rd reminder – Letter issued requesting the debt to be paid in full. After this we will suspend provision until the debt is cleared.
As we are a small preschool we need to protect our provision from bad debt, which could result in a negative impact of delivery of our high quality childcare. Strategies may include the following:-
- We reserve the right to offer only funded provision (currently 15 hours) to those who consistently breach the above.
- We may feel the need to limit any outstanding liability to a maximum of £100. Again, if not cleared or if it is seen a payment schedule agreed is not met to cover the outstanding debt (irrespective of amount), provision will be suspended until the outstanding liability is cleared.
- Provision will not be offered the following academic year if any outstanding debt has not been cleared in full.
This policy and our fee structure is reviewed annually.
